Scientific work:

topological methods in the theory of nonlinear partial differential equations and variational problems;

solvability, qualitative and asymptotic properties of solutions of linear and nonlinear equations and systems;

homogenization of boundary value problems for nonlinear equations in domains with complicated structure;

general theory of linear boundary value problems.

Department of Nonlinear Analysis was founded in April, 1979 by the initiative of Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics, Professor, then Academician of NAS of Ukraine, Igor V.Skrypnik. He headed the department from the moment of its foundation till February, 2005.
